The challenge: functionality, efficiency and quality without compromise

When EuroHub began planning its new logistics centre in the Keratéa Business Park, the goal was clear: to create a modern, safe and fully tailored environment, capable of supporting different product categories, high order volumes and strict quality standards.

The project needed to combine efficiency and flexibility, through solutions that would ensure optimal space utilisation, fast and safe material flow and ergonomic working conditions for employees.

EuroHub was looking for a partner able to deliver a holistic, end-to-end solution, from storage systems and material handling equipment to loading dock systems and specialised infrastructure.

The solution: a fully integrated approach by Toyota Material Handling

Toyota Material Handling Greece’s team undertook the design and implementation of a complete, integrated solution supporting every aspect of EuroHub’s operation. The project included:

  • A storage system of 30,000 pallet positions and 9,400 micro picking locations, designed to support both high-density storage and micro-picking.
  • A complete fleet of material handling equipment, including powered pallet trucks, reach trucks, VNAs, stackers and electric counterbalanced forklifts-all carefully selected to match the specific operational requirements of each warehouse zone.
  • Industrial doors, dock shelters and electrohydraulic loading ramps, ensuring safe and efficient goods loading and unloading.
  • Special solutions for cold storage and controlled product areas, where safety, temperature stability and accessibility are of critical importance.

From the very beginning, Toyota’s team approached the project with a collaborative mindset. The analysis of EuroHub’s needs was carried out through close communication with their team, ensuring perfect alignment between the warehouse’s operational model and the final solution delivered.

The customer’s voice heard

“When we designed our new facilities,” says Alexis Baltoumas, General Manager at EuroHub, “we wanted to create a space that would fully support our philosophy, our activity and our commitment to quality. Toyota Material Handling met our needs with absolute precision - from the storage systems to the equipment we use daily.”

“What we appreciated most,” Alexis adds, “was that the proposed solutions were not standardised. They were tailor-made for us, designed according to how we work and the high-quality standards we have set as a company.”

As he points out, the collaboration with Toyota did not end with the delivery of the project. EuroHub continues to benefit from ongoing technical support, after-sales service and quick response times, further strengthening the relationship of trust between the two companies.

The philosophy behind the project

This collaboration exemplifies the core values of Toyota Material Handling being put to action, demonstrating reliability throughout every phase of the project, from planning to execution. It showcases innovation by building relevant solutions that address real business needs.

“For us, every project is unique,” notes Pavlos Besis, LS Sales & Marketing Director at Toyota Material Handling Greece, “Our goal is not simply to install equipment; it’s to deliver a solution that fully integrates with the customer’s needs, pace and philosophy. The collaboration with EuroHub was an example of teamwork, professionalism and mutual respect and the result reflects exactly that.”

The partnership embraces continuous improvement (Kaizen), using feedback and adopting an approach that involves development cycles and user-centred design principles to evolve and refine outcomes. Above all, it reflects a deep respect for people, recognising that trust, empathy and mutual understanding are the cornerstones of every successful and lasting business relationship.

The result: a model logistics centre for the future

Today, the EuroHub warehouse stands as one of the most modern and efficient logistics centres in Greece, with a facility that combines technology, ergonomics and human intelligence.

The collaboration with Toyota Material Handling Greece delivered not only a technically excellent result but also built a long-term relationship of trust and a solid foundation for future growth.

The success of this project proves that when two companies share common values and vision, the outcome can exceed all expectations.
