With lithium-ion, Traigo80 allows for quick and easy opportunity charging. Avoiding battery changes while keeping high performance throughout the shift.
Even with the smallest battery and charger, a full eight hour shift is possible. Just charge the Traigo80 twice for 15 minutes during the main operating periods and plug it in for 45 minutes during the mid-shift meal break.
Good charging disciplines can enable trucks with even the smallest energy pack to work around the clock. Traigo80 comes with two energy packs to suit your operations.
Whatever energy you choose, we have you covered. The Traigo80 is also fuel-cell ready and of course available with a traditional lead-acid battery with easy door opening for battery change.

Creating unique driver profiles with PIN code in the I_Site portal ensures only trained and authorised drivers have access and can operate your machines. Or you can use Smart Access cards, nicely integrated into the driver interface
Pre-operational check is a smart I_Site feature that is included in the driver interface to make sure an automated check is done by your drivers before every shift – improving reliability and safety.
I_Site monitors how and when your Li-ion batteries are being used, making it easy to find periods to opportunity charge your truck. I_Site also supports lead-acid batteries by enabling users to maintain their batteries in the best possible way. It was designed to make operations reduce their energy consumption and costs.
Shock sensors on the truck provide information on collisions. Insights via I_Site fleet management on the incident and driver can help to prevent and avoid damage to your connected smart trucks and infrastructure – for a safer and more cost-efficient operation.

Lithium-ion batteries have a lot of advantages. They have a longer lifecycle than lead-acid batteries and are 30% more energy-efficient. With Li-ion you can opportunity charge your truck and charging is easy and fast. It’s a clean technology that does not require a separate charging room. There are 3 kind of intelligent Li-ion energy packs available on the Toyota electric counterbalanced range to fit your applications and charging habits.
A lithium-ion battery lasts up to 5,000 charges on average, while a lead-acid battery can approximately be charged 1,500 times.
The new Traigo80 2-3.5 tonnes with the smallest battery and charger can work a full 8-hour shift at an 80% utilisation rate, with just two 15-minute charging breaks during the main operating periods and an additional 45 minutes of charging during the mid-shift meal break.
Charging times and patterns depend on your battery solution and operational requirements. Lead-acid batteries should be charged when their battery level has dropped to 20%, this will extend the battery’s life expectancy to five years or more. Lithium-ion batteries are more flexible, their lifespan is not affected by charging frequency. In fact, with Li-ion, opportunity charging is encouraged to maintain your warehouse’s activities.
If you aim for an optimal balance between operational tasks and opportunity charging, a lithium-ion battery is worth the cost both from a sustainable and a financial point of view.
The initial purchase price of internal combustion trucks is lower than that of electric forklifts. The latter are, however, more cost-effective in the long run, as they have fewer moving parts and therefore don’t need much maintenance. Additionally, charging costs are also much lower than refuelling costs (gas or diesel).
