What is IndX

IndX is an open innovation arena that brings together leading industrial companies and innovative startups and scale-ups from around the world.

Together with partners such as Hitachi, Husqvarna Group, NIRA Dynamics, Saab, SICK and Väderstad, we explore new technologies and solutions to address real business challenges. 
 
IndX enables: 

• Collaboration between startups, scale-ups and global industrial partners
• Validation of ideas through Proof of Concepts (PoCs), pilots and tests
• Development of long-term partnerships and innovation ecosystems
• New perspectives that challenge the status quo and inspire new ways of thinking and doing business.

IndX is one of several initiatives through which Toyota Material Handling Europe engages with the innovation ecosystem, alongside programmes and collaboration platforms such as Logiconomi Connections and Logiville. 
While some collaborations start from clearly defined challenges, others emerge from solutions and perspectives that reveal opportunities we had not previously considered.

How IndX works

IndX provides a structured approach to collaboration between startups and leading industrial companies, moving efficiently from idea to real-world application. 

1. Identify challenges 
   Together with the partner network, key innovation needs are defined.
2. Scout and select startups 
   Startups and scale-ups are invited to apply and pitch their solutions. Selected companies are matched with relevant partners.
3. Structured evaluation and dialogue 
   Startups and scale-ups engage with multiple partners to validate solutions and explore opportunities.
4. Pilot and test 
   Promising solutions move forward into PoCs, pilots or real-world testing.
5. Scale and collaborate 
   Successful pilots can evolve into long-term partnerships or implementation.
