During the Olympic & Paralympic Games Paris 2024, Toyota Material Handling Europe was the Official Partner for material handling equipment. Working in collaboration with Toyota Motor the promise is to ensure seamless, effortless, and flexible mobility for all, including both people and goods. A key objective was to ensure that Toyota's activities at the event support the carbon emission target of the Paris 2024 Games. With #wedeliverforyou, we succeeded in our aim to deliver mobility to the Olympic & Paralympic Games in the same way that we deliver for our customers, and the way we deliver for you and other consumers worldwide.
During the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, we took a moment to pay tribute to the sung and unsung heroes of the logistics industry, mostly ordinary people doing extraordinary things. Our #wedeliverforyou campaign captured the magic behind the scenes at Paris of the intralogistics world and provides an insight into the future of material handling. You call the shots, we make it happen.
Even beyond Paris, we want to focus on the vast role logistics plays in supplying daily needs to over 750 million people on the continent. On many aspects, logistics are pioneering on topics as sustainability, energy solutions, automation, innovation and more. Below you can find the main takeaways from our campaign on each topic.

Since 2015 Toyota has been the Worldwide Mobility partner of the Olympic & Paralympic Games. In 2024 the games moved to Paris where we, for the first time, were the official partner for material handling equipment. This fits perfectly with our company purpose to ‘Move the world towards easy and sustainable’ - given Paris 2024's carbon emission target.
From October 2022, all employees in the company were invited to join Toyota’s ‘Start Your Impossible’ programme, with the aim to make a difference for themselves, their colleagues and society at large.
Start Your Impossible did not only showcases remarkable Olympic and Paralympic athletes but also sheds light on the heroes behind their success – the coaches, teammates, parents, and fans – the community that fuels their journey. Where you come from - your community – matters. It’s this respect for local communities and long-standing commitment to sports that shines in Toyota’s support of more than 200 Olympic and Paralympic athletes around the world.
With hundreds of our own employees who also travelled to Paris to experience the Games, together we celebrated inclusivity, innovation and the incredible power of the human spirit. Amidst the excitement of the Games, they also explored the Toyota House and tried out the innovative mobility solutions at the Inclusive Mobility Park, getting a firsthand look at how Toyota Motor Europe is shaping the future of inclusive mobility.
Toyota Material Handling participated in a multi-pathway event at the Dreux circuit, just west of Paris, where we presented our approach to energy solutions. Toyota Motor transformed the circuit into a mobility showcase, demonstrating a complete range of energy solutions on the track, including hybrid-electric and battery-electric vehicles, hydrogen electric cars using fuel cells as well as carbon neutral fuels and hydrogen-powered IC engines. Demonstrating a mix of different energy solutions to decarbonise mobility for all, Toyota wants to leave no one behind in the pursuit of a more sustainable future. The event was about experiencing and explaining Toyota’s approach and using motorsport as the test bed for innovation.
With the support of partners such as Toyota GAZOO Racing Europe, Yamaha, Energy Observer, Kawasaki, GCK, and many more, we were able to highlight the multi-pathway strategy. A dedicated hydrogen pavilion was set up to explore the full topic, offering a comprehensive look at Toyota’s vision for sustainable mobility. In a special demonstration of autonomous driving, a high-performance driverless GR Yaris performed high speed laps of a dedicated track. We took part with our own Traigo Fuel Cell truck and demoed our Swarm automation solution to more than 2000 visitors over a 50 day period.
Our commitment to providing innovative and sustainable solutions continues to drive our efforts to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
