Our team of automation specialists will help you with strategies, ideas and solutions to automate your operations. Read some of our customers’ stories to learn more about how we’ve helped them with their automation journeys.
TORO implemented 5 automated trucks from Toyota to work faster and more cost-efficiently. The vehicles operate side by side with manual trucks and/or operators, making safety also a priority.
In TINE's new warehouse dairy goods are automatically picked up on a conveyor belt and stored in a rack by an automated reach truck from Toyota. Automating this process delivered many benefits to Tine.
Using automated trucks in manual storage environments can be a challenging combination. At the Coop regional warehouse in Trondheim, the warehouse employees have learned to work safely with the automated stackers.
In this first phase we work with you to understand your way of working, your challenges and your automation needs, to offer the best possible solution.
We will discuss technical questions with the persons in your organisation that have the knowledge of the existing procedures and operation of your site.
We will set up a site visit to analyse and assess your current operation, especially the flows you’d like to automate.
To calculate your project, we work with updated layout drawings of your facility, where you indicate each flow that you wish to automate. Knowing the number of transports for each of these flows is very valuable. This will allow us to perform several simulations to calculate the number of vehicles needed to reach your performance targets.
A meeting will be arranged with the relevant persons in your organisation where we present our solution, or several proposals depending on the targets. The proposed outline can be changed and updated to come to the final solution. After this, the order can be placed.
In this phase we’ll set up workshops and meetings, where we work closely together with you to set the final specifications for each material flow that you wish to automate. We’ll create a system specification which is signed off by both you and us. This specification details the solution that will fulfill your business needs and add value to your organisation. At this stage we also build the project schedule based on the agreed solution.
The engineering team will design the solution according to the agreed system specification. All configurations will be simulated and software will be developed if needed. All functionalities will be ensured by verifying all solution components with our in-house testing processes & procedure. Site preparations are executed in this phase: preparation of internet connection, setting up of navigation infrastructure, installing of I/O boxes, etc.
Now we come to the installation and fine-tuning stage of the project. Realisation of the system solution includes vehicle start-up, installation of battery chargers, layout tuning, system configuration adjustments, infrastructure communication verification, etc. We also dry-run the solution to ensure that it is working according to the agreed requirements and that it fulfils the expectations, by running a set of agreed acceptance tests.
Before handing over the system, minimum 1 Super User should be appointed at your site. This person will receive relevant training to acquire the right knowledge and skills to operate the newly installed automated solution.
We will perform final testing and verification to test production and do performance tuning if needed.
The system solution will be provided with the necessary technical documentation.
To ensure minimum downtime of the system and maximised return on your investment, we can support you remotely or on site. Our system support offer includes helpdesk, support report and site visits. For the vehicle service you can count on our extensive service network across Europe of 5000 technicians.
