EcoVadis' assessment is a crucial part of our sustainability strategy and we are committed to drive ESG compliance and best practices across our own operations. This is why we complete the EcoVadis survey once a year at head office level, and we ask every factory and Marketing & Sales Company to do the same.
All our factories have now reached EcoVadis Gold level and 85% of our Marketing & Sales Companies are at either Platinum or Gold level.
As for our independent distributors, for six of them work is in progress to achieve EcoVadis Bronze level by 2028.

Alongside their ESG scores, business sustainability ratings provider EcoVadis recently added a carbon management score to help companies assess their carbon performance. We want all our factories and entities to receive an 'Advanced' EcoVadis carbon rating in 2025 – 21% have already reached this level.

Our Responsible Procurement Initiative aims to manage social and environmental performance of our suppliers. Next to signing our code of conduct for suppliers and completing a self-assessment, many suppliers have also been onboarded onto the EcoVadis platform. Over 700 of our suppliers already use EcoVadis to assess their ESG performance, which helps us to increase transparency and make incremental improvements. Furthermore, over 116 suppliers committed to science-based targets in line with SBTi by 2025.
Risk mapping
To help meet future compliance requirements and help prioritise actions, we need an evidence-based approach to company risk assessment and transparency on supplier-specific validated data. For this purpose, we have now integrated an additional supply chain management tool from EcoVadis to conduct sustainability risk mapping of our supply base for ethical, social and environmental risks. This will enable us to further mature our sustainability management and develop risk mitigation measures.

Every year we are assessed by EcoVadis in our performance and transparency across four key appraisal areas, including labour and human rights, environment, ethics, and sustainable procurement. In 2023, we committed to 56 ESG targets to complete by 2031. One year on, 13 of those have been completed and progress has been made on 25 more.
