As a company we want the best working environment for all our employees.
Our approach
We minimise risks by analysing the root cause of potential problems and proactively implement countermeasures.
This is in line with TICO’s (Toyota Industries Corporation) safety vision: "Each and every associate in the Toyota Industries Group, guided by the spirit of our corporate creed, contributes to creating a corporate culture that places a top priority on maintaining safety in all areas and focuses on mutual courtesy with the aim of building an inclusive workplace where associates come to work each day with a sense of happiness and pride."
More about our sustainability apporach
"Our employee’s Health, Safety and Wellbeing is our single most important priority and the very prerequisite for sustainable business success. Even with digital technology becoming ever more important people will remain at the heart of our business."
Ernesto Dominguez
President & CEO
EU OSHA’s Healthy Workplaces Campaigns have been running since 2000 and Toyota has been committed since 2010. Through our continued partnership we strive for a safe, healthy and productive working environment for both employees and customers. Effective risk management in the workplace benefits everyone involved. It is good for workers, good for society and good for business.
Campaign 2023-2025: Safe and healthy work in the digital age
The 2023-25 campaign – Safe and healthy work in the digital age – wants to raise awareness about the impact of new digital technologies on workplaces and its workers. Digital transformation offers increased opportunities but also presents great challenges and risks in terms of health and safety.
Impact should be considered from design onward but enhancing digital literacy among workers is vital. We are committed to support skills development for our employees when it comes to digital applications. It is important to put people at the center of the digital workplace.
Toyota Material Handling joined the steering committee of the EU OSHA benchmarking initiative in 2013, exchanging best practices with other EU OSHA partners that have a good sense of employee and customer safety and thorough understanding of the factors as to how and when accidents occur.
