Toyota Material Handling Europe doubles investments in R&D

Global manufacturer in material handling equipment Toyota Material Handling Europe, part of Toyota Industries Corporation, is doubling its investments in research and development over the coming years.

This investment programme is aimed at reinforcing the company’s position as a frontrunner in ground-breaking logistics solutions, particularly in battery technology, AI, advanced logistics, automation, connectivity solutions, and single touchpoint fleet management. This will ensure that the company continues to grow sustainably while offering complete solutions to support operations throughout Europe and creating an excellent customer experience with first-rate quality.

As part of this undertaking, Toyota Material Handling Europe is intensifying its efforts in recruiting top talent within these domains to fortify and grow its R&D teams across Europe.  Expanding and building high-performance R&D teams is crucial to keep pace with the challenges and fast-paced technological evolution the industry faces, so that innovative products and services can be marketed quickly, and solutions can be enriched to optimise the overall customer experience.

"We are committed to driving innovation and shaping the future of material handling technologies," says Johan Brynås, Head of research & Innovation. "In our R&D department you can work on innovative products throughout their entire lifecycle, from concept and design to production and on-site implementation. By doubling our investments in research and development, we set out to lead the way when it comes to developing cutting-edge solutions."

Targeting key roles

In line with the increased investments, Toyota Material Handling Europe recently launched one of its largest recruitment campaigns entitled "MOVE the Future." Focusing on recruiting tech talents in competitive, ground-breaking technological areas, the campaign underscores the company's dedication to contribute to a sustainable society.

“At Toyota Material Handling Europe, ideas literally come out of the blue. Blue isn't just a colour for us. It's the symbol of innovation, representing our cutting-edge concepts and prototypes. It embodies our commitment to pushing boundaries and shaping the future of logistics. This transformation from idea to reality, from blue to orange, is a driving force in our new campaign,” Brynås concludes.

The "MOVE the Future" campaign highlights the transformative power of technology in creating impact and catalysing progress. It invites passionate individuals to join Toyota Material Handling Europe in materialising its long-term vision for the future of material handling technologies.
