Toyota Industries Corporation strengthens Logistics solutions business - acquires viastore

Toyota Industries Corporation has reached an agreement with the shareholders of viastore, a Germany-based logistics system integrator, to acquire the company in order to strengthen its Logistics Solutions Business.

Founded in 1889 and headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, viastore employs some 600 people in seventeen countries. In 2021 the company reported sales of 140 million euros. CEO is Philipp Hahn-Woernle.

viastore is a successful systems integrator and software house with a solid brand and long- standing market position. Its successful WMS software – viadat – covers an extensive range of material handling processes. Combined with its integration engineering skills, viastore provides solutions to a wide range of industry segments such as retail, manufacturing, logistics and food. The company also produces its own range of Automated Storage and Retrieval systems for pallets and boxes.

For Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) the acquisition will over time bring increased capability to support customers on their journey towards more automated and integrated material handling solutions in the segment of small and midsize projects.

The acquisition is subject to ordinary approval by antitrust authorities and other general preconditions, aiming for completion third quarter of 2022. TMHE will not comment on any aspects of this transaction in addition to this statement before the deal is completed.
