New Chairman Hiroshi Kuriyama now based at European HQ in Sweden 

As of April 1, 2025, Hiroshi Kuriyama has assumed the role of Chairman of the Board at Toyota Material Handling Europe, succeeding Toru Suzuki.

Kuriyama brings extensive international experience gained throughout the Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) network. Since joining TICO in 1994, he has held key leadership roles in the United States, France, Poland, and most recently Brazil, where he served as President of Toyota Material Handling Mercosur from 2019 to 2025. 

In his new role as Chairman, Hiroshi Kuriyama is now stationed at the company’s European headquarters in Mjölby, Sweden. His appointment reflects our continued focus on strong, globally experienced leadership which is at the heart of our European operations. 

Between his international assignments, Kuriyama has also held various strategic positions at TICO’s headquarters in Japan, contributing to the corporation’s global development and planning. 

He succeeds Toru Suzuki, who will continue his career within Toyota Industries Corporation.
