Logiconomi 2025 presents innovative solutions and brings expert advice to enable sustainable performance in the logistics industry

Marseille, 13-14 May 2025: Organised by Toyota Material Handling Europe, the latest edition of the Logiconomi conference attracted over 500 leaders in European logistics. The event provided a platform for experts in new technologies to support future logistics operations by sharing their knowledge and providing valuable insights.

Logiconomi is a communication platform, created by Toyota Material Handling Europe, to identify and understand challenges, trends and emerging technologies. The aim is to support customers with insights and inspiration for improved logistics operations and to develop the knowledge and experience of people in the Toyota organisation. The Logiconomi event takes place bi-annually, and attracts experts from leading companies, as well as ideas and innovations from new solution providers.

“We have had excellent feedback from customers attending previous Logiconomi events,” explained Mark Peters, Marketing Director, Toyota Material Handling Europe, “so we are confident that the information shared has been valuable. We undertook a survey of key customers in advance of this year’s conference to identify the key issues that they wanted to see on the agenda. There were four main topics, which were energy, automation, artificial intelligence and sustainability.” Consequently, the theme of this year’s event was ‘Enabling Sustainable Performance’ recognising the need to meet sustainability targets but also to maintain efficiency and reliability.

Keynote speakers at this year’s conference included Pierre-François Thaler, co-founder and CEO of leading sustainability ratings company, Ecovadis and Tony Estanguet, President of Paris 2024, who explained how the Olympic and Paralympic games were staged with a 50% carbon reduction. Other companies represented in programme included Nvidia, Microsoft, L’Oréal, Puma, Randstad Enterprises, Toyota Motor Europe, viastore and Vanderlande.

Additionally, Logiconomi 2025 has been the launchpad for a new initiative from Toyota Material Handling Europe called Logiconomi Connections. It has been developed to address the reality that in today’s rapidly evolving business landscape, logistics managers often seek solutions to common problems. The Logiconomi Connections programme is designed to support the industry by identifying innovative solution providers for typical challenges. Fourteen solution providers were featured at the conference covering a multitude of solutions from analytics and planning systems to innovative equipment and health and safety solutions.
