Erric Heitman is the new Senior Vice President Research and Development (R&D) and member of Toyota Material Handling Europe’s Executive Management Team.  

Erric Heitman took office May 1, 2024, succeeding Niclas Sternerup who has taken on a new challenge outside the company after 21 years.

Erric Heitmann brings a wealth of industry experience and a proven track record to Toyota Material Handling.

Since 2013, he has been Vice President of Engineering for The Raymond Corporation in the U.S. In this role, he has been instrumental in leading the organisation to pursue development and production of complementary technologies in telematics, automation, and energy storage. The organisation has successfully released an average of nine new products per year and has been awarded numerous U.S. and foreign patents.  

American born, Erric Heitmann is well connected in the global Toyota Industries Corporation as Executive member of the Toyota Global R&D Board. Prior to joining Raymond, Heitmann worked at United Technologies Carrier Corporation, filling roles of increasing responsibility in development engineering and product engineering.
